Day 16: Celebrate Mom’s Birthday

Mom’s birthday is tomorrow, but we celebrated today with a couple of tasty meals and cake and ice cream, well, frozen yogurt, of course. It felt good to eat controlled portions of all of the good stuff. My calorie count was on track.

I did the laundry and grocery shopping this morning, then took it easy the remainder of the day. Hopefully I’ll make a dent in my junk room project this week and especially next weekend. I’ll be able to purchase the queen bed next payday.

The consistency of photographing my food and posting daily is helping tremendously. I’m getting in a good pattern.

It’s been a stressful week with my mom being in the hospital because of heavy bleeding. She’s going to have a hysterectomy  on Monday and I’m praying for her. The docs found a pre-cancerous mass in her uterus, so they’re going to remove it and any other suspicious looking items that can be removed safely. It’s been a long week of working, going to the hospital, going home to sleep, and then repeating the process. I am exhausted.
